The cover story of HIAS' Fall 2010 issue of Passages,  "The Ballad of John and Leon," yesterday was reposted by The Huffington Post and The Jewish Journal, and covered by The Forward. Commemorating the anniversary of John Lennon's death, the story tells of the work of John Lennon’s immigration lawyer, Leon Wildes, who secured Lennon's U.S. residency in 1976 and currently is an active member of HIAS’ board.

In its analysis of a recent AJC survey that indicates that 52% of 800 Jewish respondents support SB 1070, the New York Jewish Week mentions HIAS Young Leaders and their work to bring together people from diverse communities in order to break down stereotypes and build mutual respect.
