Barbara S. Rosenthal


A resident of Cleveland, Ms. Rosenthal is the vice president of resource development for North Coast Community Homes, a non-profit housing corporation that develops and maintains housing for individuals with mental retardation, mental illness, and other disabilities. Before joining North Coast, she served for five years as vice president of resource development for the Center for Families and Children in Cleveland. Previously she practiced law as an attorney with Baker & Hostetler and, prior to that, was a partner in her own family business.

She earned her bachelors degree in 1957 from Wellesley College, and a JD from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 1987. Ms. Rosenthal is active in a number of other humanitarian and Jewish causes, including the National Jewish Data Bank, American ORT, and the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland. She is also a Trustee of Ideastream, a merged entity of public radio and public television in Cleveland. Ms. Rosenthal is the mother of three children and grandmother of six.
