Edelstein, Zlata (descendants of)

In search of descendants of Zlata née Edelstein, who was born in 1886 in Korostyshev, Ukraine. Her parents’ names were Simkha and Lea. She immigrated to the United States in 1907 to join to her brother Moshe Leib. Moshe came back to Ukraine in 1912; he dreamed of bringing his family to America, but that never happened. Zlata married Max and had a large family. Their older son was named Boruch.

The inquirer is a grandson of Moshe Leib.

Eftman, Motya

In search of the descendants of Moya Eftman. Motya was born in 1893 and his sister, Sima Eftman, was born in 1895 in Staro Konstantinov, Ukraine. They immigrated to the United States in 1911. Until 1937, they kept up communications with Fira Vainshelboym, their cousin.

The inquirer is a great-nephew of Sima and Motya.


Esterov, Yankel (descendants of)

In search of the descendants of Yankel Esterov, who was born in Zembin, Borisovuezd, Belorussia before 1870. He immigrated to the United States sometime around 1905-1910 with his brother Yitzchak and sisters Genya, Rokha (Rakhil), Riva-Nakhama, and Sosha. Sosha also brought her children, Abraham and Zalman. Yitzchak returned to Russia after one year. Another sister, Yochebed, married Abram Heifetz, who immigrated to the United States with their children, Riva, Sora-Liba, and Isaac. Yochebed stayed in Russia with their son Gershel, who was handicapped. Yochebed died in 1938. Gershel, his wife, and their children were shot by the Germans.

The inquirer is a son of Yitzchak.
