Manager, Young Leadership Development
Erin Davis joined the HIAS staff as Manager of Young Leadership Development in August of 2010. As a third generation Holocaust survivor, Ms. Davis has always been passionate about Jewish education and involvement within the Jewish community. She obtained a B.A. from Georgetown University in Spanish and a Theology minor with a concentration in Judaic Studies as well as served as the Social Action Chair of the Jewish Student Association, working to get Hillel established successfully on campus in 2005. As a College Preparatory Counselor and Resident Advisor at Georgetown, she created several educational, cultural, and social programs for international high school students as well as advised and tutored undergraduates on a range of academic matters.
Before her recent move to New York, she spent over three years as International Programs and Special Events Manager with the acclaimed Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, coordinating exchanges and trips for middle school students in several countries, including Japan, Peru, Italy, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Greece. Ms. Davis also taught and created the curriculum for an afterschool Spanish program at the Academy. She is now proud to be working with Young Leaders at the refugee and immigrant aid organization that assisted her grandparents in resettling in the United States after the Holocaust.
