Neil M. Moss
Neil has been a board member of HIAS since 2008. His parents were assisted by HIAS in the mid-1930s, and he and his wife Karen have been involved with the Soviet Jewry movement for many years. Neil currently serves on HIAS’ Budget & Finance Committee and Budget Policy Subcommittee, and is a member of the Development Subcommittee, Domestic Operations Committee, Historical Records Committee, and Young Leadership Subcommittee. He has a particular interest in HIAS’ program that provides college scholarships to children of HIAS-assisted immigrants.
Neil is a past chair of the Board of Directors of Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life and is an ex-officio member of Hillel's International Board of Governors. He has chaired two Hillel Presidential Search committees and its Nominating Committee, in addition to chairing Hillel's $200 million Campaign for Jewish Renaissance. Neil currently serves on the Executive Committee, and chairs Hillel's Governance Committee.
Neil also serves on the Board of Governors of JAFI, the Jewish Agency for Israel, and on the board of the United Israel Appeal. He is a member of JDC’s Warburg Society. His local Federation board roles have included Campaign Chair, Chair of Israel & Overseas Allocations Committee, and Vice-Chair of the Columbus Jewish Federation. Neil and Karen are founding members of the Columbus-Kfar Saba P2K partnership and serve on its Steering Committee.
Neil is a registered investment advisor and chairman of Capital Investors Advisory Corporation, a wealth management firm he founded in 1971. He earned a B.S. in Engineering from Case Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Neil also is a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Foundation Leadership Program.
Karen and Neil have two daughters, Meredith and Katherine, and two grandchildren, Raleigh and Eleanor.
