Program Manager, International Operations
An exceptional opportunity available for a Program Manager with strong management, writing, and analytic skills. Successful candidate will provide programmatic and fiscal oversight to HIAS offices and programs overseas. Reporting to the Director of International Operations, the Program Manager will ensure compliance with agency/funder requirements and assist in developing new overseas programs. S/he will write/edit program reports, prepare detailed budgets, and provide support to the International Operations Department and overseas offices, as necessary.
Excellent English writing ability, presentation, and creative and analytical skills are required, as is the ability to prepare and monitor expenditures/budgets and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of standard workplace software such as Word and Excel is required. Knowledge of the international refugee protection regime, national and international entities, and NGOs engaged in refugee issues are required, as is a willingness and ability to travel overseas. Strong Spanish language skills and knowledge of the Jewish community and Jewish communal organizations are pluses. Advanced degree or university certificate, preferably in Law or International Relations, and at least two years experience working with or on behalf of refugees and/or displaced populations is required.
