On April 18th, We Were Strangers, Too: The Jewish Campaign for Immigration Reform (WWS2) hosted a national conference call with over 90 participants from across the country to discuss the Senate immigration reform bill S. 744, The Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act, introduced on April 17, 2013. The call featured policy experts from HIAS, Center for American Progress, and the Jewish Council for Public Affairs who discussed specific provisions of the bill, how the policies would affect our communities, and next steps moving forward.
