Coverage by the New York Jewish Week of the "Building Interfaith Coalitions for Immigration Advocacy" event focused on panel member comments. HIAS' Gideon Aronoff discussed the Jewish mandate to "welcome the stranger," as well as the parallels between Jewish and Muslim communities in the United States, while immigration attorney Naveen Bhora described how application of federal immigration policy has impacted those in the Muslim community.
