Moscow Cultural Orientation Program
This program provides refugees with essential information about post-interview procedures before their departure for the United States, the initial period of resettlement, and a multitude of cultural, organizational, financial and other issues they will encounter after arrival. The program serves Jewish and Evangelical Christian refugees from the FSU, as well as refugees from around the world referred for resettlement in the United States by UNHCR. This program holds daily classes in Russian for these refugees and schedules occasional sessions in Farsi, English, Arabic, and French for refugees from African and Asian countries. Since the program’s initiation in 1998, classes have been attended by more than 41,000 people from 27 countries.
