A search for people who were assisted by HIAS within the last year is free of charge.

Package 1: Basic Search - $30.00
This package includes a search of arrival records in the HIAS database (covering 1909 to the present). Shipping and handling are included.

Copies of the case file (if it exists) are available for an additional fee:
$10.00 if the case file is on HIAS’ premises;
$20.00 if the case is in the HIAS warehouse;
$60.00 if the case is in the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research

Package 2: Comprehensive Search - $30.00+
This package includes a basic search ($30), with an additional search in other databases, archives, libraries, etc., at $30.00 per hour (not to exceed 10 hours).

Package 3: Search Abroad – Fees Vary
Israel: $50.00
