2019 New Jersey Labor Seder
RSVP required. Email Martin Schwartz at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Passover commemorates the liberation of the Israelites from their bondage in ancient Egypt. Jewish tradition requires that we retell the story each year so that we never forget that we were once oppressed, that we fought for our liberation, and that we must continue to fight injustice.
This year the Jewish Labor Committee and the Community Relations Committee of Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ will host the 2019 New Jersey Labor Seder to rededicate ourselves to the struggle for workers' rights and civil rights for all. Our traditional four cups of wine during the Labor Seder this year will focus on the themes of economic justice and income inequality, immigrant rights and protecting the refugee, fighting against anti-Semitism, racism and Islamophobia, and for common-sense gun regulation.
