The Global Refugee Crisis and Jewish Values
This event is free and open to the public.
Over the last year, the number of refugees and displaced people across the world has grown to more than 65 million – more than any time in recorded history. Because of our history and our values, the Jewish people have a unique connection to these most vulnerable people.
Join Rabbi Rachel Grant Meyer, former Temple Sinai rabbinic intern and current director of education at HIAS, the world’s oldest, and only Jewish, refugee organization, to learn more about the global refugee crisis and to explore how Jewish values and history call on us to respond – both here in the U.S. and internationally.
