National Refugee Shabbat at B'nai Jeshurun

With Melanie Nezer, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs
257 W 88th St
New York, NY 10024
United States

This event is free and open to the public

In the face of unprecedented attempts to close America’s doors to those seeking freedom from violence and persecution, this is a critical moment to give voice to our values as Jews and as Americans. Join HIAS, B'nai Jeshurun, and congregations across the United States as together we deepen our understanding of today’s global refugee crisis, connect to the national Jewish movement for refugees, celebrate local acts of welcome and recommit to putting our values into action.

The event will include a pannel discussion with Melanie Nezer, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs at HAIS; Ahed Festuk, Assistant Coordinator of Humanitarian Relief and Public Outreach, Multfaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees; and Nancy Kaufman, Executive Director, National Council of Jewish Women.
