A Year Later, Fighting for Refugees: HIAS Action DC Meeting
This event is free and open to the public. RSVP here.
Over the past year, amidst the largest global refugee crisis in history, the Trump Administration has taken actions, including discriminatory protocols and Muslim bans, that erode the United States’ historic protections for refugees and immigrants.
In the streets, in the courts, in communities, and on Capitol Hill, HIAS and our supporters have been fighting these anti-refugee and anti-immigrant policies in every way that we can. But the fight continues, and we need your help.
Join us for an open meeting of HIAS Action DC, a network of 20s and 30s in the DC area who are committed to standing in solidarity with refugees, inspired by Jewish values and history. At the meeting, we’ll get an update about recent threats towards refugees and immigrants and brainstorm concrete, strategic ways that we can advocate for those fleeing persecution.
