Sunday Symposium at Theater J

With Melanie Nezer, Senior Vice President for Public Affairs at HIAS
Aaron and Cecile Goldman Theater
1529 16th Street, NW
Washington, DC 20036
United States

An expert panel including Melanie Nezer, HIAS Senior Vice President for Public Affairs and Wendy Young of KIND will discuss the current-day refugee crisis and how you can take action to help families displaced by violence, war, and unlivable conditions in their home countries.

This panel follows the 2:00 pm performance of Sheltered, a play by Alix Sobler, based on the true story of the Kraus family, who rescued 50 children from then already-occupied Vienna in 1939 and brought them to the US.

Theater J performs in the Aaron & Cecile Goldman Theater located inside the Edlavitch DC Jewish Community Center (EDCJCC).
