I was born in Ukraine in the city of Odessa after the WWII. From early childhood I fell in love with music and singing. I remember a lot of cozy evenings sitting at the table with grandma and grandpa and singing Russian, Ukrainian and Jewish songs. Songs became part of my soul. My grandparents left me with wonderful gift of loving music, which help me in emigration from the old country.I had very hard time during my immigration, it was extremely hard to get used to a new life style and new language. I had to learn English to survive, to find job and to help my son. We were apart from our families for ten years, before we reunited. We left in Ukraine not only relatives, but friends, culture and many things that we cherished and loved. Music and songs as memory of the past were with me all that time. When I joined chorus years ago, I was overwhelmed with joy and happiness. I would like to thank everyone who gave me this opportunity and made my life more interesting. We become friends in chorus and we support each other. As we need each other, we need our songs , that we sing with our dear Marina.Marina's professionalism and patience makes us sing so, that our song brings to all audiences joy of music and of course nostalgia fillings to Russian community city of Miami.I am very grateful to all organizations that help me to make my dream come through - to sing in chorus. Please, do not take that from me.
